  30. There's another problem with using a null-modem setup...as far as I know, 
  31. there is not any File Server software available that will allow you to 
  32. mount another machines drives and access them directly.  The Amiga has 
  33. Parnet and Sernet, but I dunno if the PC has anything like them.  This 
  34. means that you would have to fire up some terminal software from each 
  35. machine and then upload/download files to each machine.  Not only is 
  36. this a royal pain in the butt, but but but I seriously doubt that 
  37. ScreamerNet will work properly with such a setup.

  39. Since you're only trying to connect two PCs, the cost for an ethernet 
  40. setup would be minimal...I have definitely seen ThinNet-only cards for 
  41. less than $40...add in the cost of cabling, t-connectors, and 
  42. terminators, you're probably looking at a $100 investment.
